Welcome to the CPTC Library/Learning Resource Center! We are located in building 15.

Study Rooms Info

The Library has four small study rooms that can accommodate 1-4 people, and two large study rooms that can accommodate up to 10 people.

You are welcome to use any study room that is available during your library visit, for up to 3 hours at a time. You must check in at the Circulation Desk before going into a room, even if you have an existing reservation.

If you would like to make a reservation request in advance, please contact the Library at 253-589-5544 or cptclibrary@cptc.edu, or ask at the Circulation Desk.

Study Room Guidelines

Who can use the rooms?

Library study rooms are for currently enrolled students ONLY.

    • Minors accompanying their parent/guardian who is a student may join them in the room.
    • CPTC employees are encouraged to use 25Live to find meeting space on campus.

What are the rules for using a room?

All students must check in at the Front Desk before going into any study room. Study room users who have not checked in may be asked to the leave the room for the day.

Students may not move or disconnect any computers or other equipment in the room.

All Library rules regarding food, drink, sleep, and disorderly conduct apply.

How long can I use a room?

Study room reservations are up to 3 hours per day, plus 1 renewal when rooms are available.

    • Renewals may be requested no more than 10 minutes before the end of the original reservation.
    • Timers are available for check out to help keep track of time.

How do I reserve a room?

Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance by calling or emailing Library staff. Walk-ins are accepted if rooms are available.

Reservations are held for 15 minutes.

Those who fail to comply to these rules when reminded by Library staff may be banned from all study room use for the entirety of the quarter.
