Review for Stereotypes or Bias

"Review the following document for any implicit bias or exclusionary language. Suggest a more inclusive version.”

Equity-Aware Audience Segmentation

"Suggest ways to segment prospective student audiences that consider not just demographics, but also barriers like transportation, work schedules, and language access."

Tree of Thought Prompting

Step 1: Brainstorm

Prompt AI to create multiple solutions to a problem (Situation, Goal, Audience, and Constraints).

Example Prompt: You are a marketer advertising a “summer Welding Bootcamp” for Clover Park Technical College. I need to enroll 50 new students. The target audience are adult learners. There is a 4 week time limit. I have limited staff and budget.

Step 2: Evaluate

Prompt AI to evaluate each idea’s pros and cons. This can be done as a percentage ranking or a simple SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to see which ideas seem most promising.

Example prompt: For each proposed solution, please provide:

1.Strengths & Benefits

2.Weaknesses & Risks

3.Effort & Resource Demand

4.Possible Roadblocks & Failure Points

5.Potential Scenarios

6.Success Probability Estimate

Step 3: Explore

Prompt the AI to explore the different paths and ask to expand on the scenarios that can result out of these paths.

Example prompt: Explore different paths for each solution and expand on the scenarios that can result out of these paths. How might this play out in real life?

Step 4: Decision

Combine what you learned in steps 2 and 3 (Evaluate and Explore). Rank the ideas based on how well they meet your goals, then pick the one that looks strongest.

Example prompt: 1.Rank the solutions from most promising to least promising for my problem

2.Provide a details for the ranking, explaining how each solution aligns (or conflicts) with my goals and constraints.

3.Offer recommendations for refinement Could any option be combined or adjusted?

4.Suggest the next steps I should take.
